Bonnet alignment was created by Racediagnostics
My bonnet is too far to one side The clearance between the bonnet and the wing by the air vents is only the thickness of a sheet of paper and about 4~5mm at the other side. Any suggesting on how to fix this problem?

You can aligne the hood at the rear hinges. Just be careful.
Hood driver side to the front. Pass side to the back.

Front to back movement will not help, the issue is side to side movement/position. I think I will need to use a shim on the hinge/bracket.

Jim, if I pull one side to the front the other side to the back th front will move side ways. Shims will work too.

Hi,
I am not a master on steel parts trimming. But isn't that something that you normally align before you fix fenders? Like mounting everything unpainted and then align it all, fixing fenders, demount doors and hood again and paint everything? Just asking that question to learn something.

It is much easier to fit the wings with the bonnet off the car, the bonnet gives too many restrictions and chances of scratching paint if it is in the way. Also each time you refit the fenders they will never go back in exactly the same place.
Previously I had not noticed the bonnet misalignment.
This morning I fitted a 2mm shim on the left side (viewed from sitting in the car) between the bonnet and hinge arm, that had the effect of pulling the bonnet 2mm to the left.
I can now slip a credit card between the wing and bonnet on each side and there is perfect alignment.
