Wie man mein 500SL PS erhoeht?

Liebe sternzeit lesser,
Ich besitzen 500SL moechte Ich den PS des gleichen motor erhoehen,das jeder habend ist,oder obener waehnte mittel kennend.Bitte informieren sie mich

PS: Mein-Auto ein 245 PS,Ich moechten sich auf 300 PS erhoehen

the most easyest (and cheapest as well) thing is to buy an old 560 engine of the mid 80s or a complete car, german version, without catalyst, and you will have 300 PS! I think you will have them in your country!

Hi Gerd
The 560SL is less PS around 227 plus catalyst,it can not be reached up to 300 PS,another thing is the european version 500SL is already 245 PS without catalyst .

Hi Saleem, wie waere es denn mit einem Kompressor? So aehnlich wie man den bei MAD MAX gesehen hat. Allerdings muesste die Motorhaube modifiziert werden.

Es gibt da einen Spezialisten in Österreich, der verpaßt Deinem Motor einen Kompressor, was rund 80 bis 100 PS zusätzlich bringt.

Kostenpunkt: ca. 12.000 Euro.

I think you some classical tuningparts...
Firstly modificated camshafts (e.g 272°)...
additional you need headers and a bigger exhaustsystem (50-55mm)

You get all the stuff in Germany (links ?) and for the m117 engine headers you have to contact Karl Middelhauve (PA/USA)..

I for my part have never felt like "underpowered" and Im driving a 450SL ...

Have you ever thought of easier / cheaper ways to get more out of your engines standard power? I mean like to fit a rear differential with a higher gear ratio?? 500s gear ratio is particullary low ...
