Scheinwerfer-Wischanlage ?? wurde erstellt von jag_ev12
!!! hat sich erledigt!!!
!!! habe es auf der WIS-CD unter Elektrik, abschnitt 82-550/555 gefunden.!!!
hallo,
gruss
ulli

hi
this is some info taken from the Mercedes Benz Club in the UK:
- Yes you can replace the wiper with the bumper on as it slides in - just undo the nut and slide the wiper in.
- The problem with mine was that the flexible shaft that feeds the wiper assemblies was jammed - due probably to years of rare use. Unfortunately you do have to remove the bumper to remove the whole headlamp wiper assembly as it is all in one piece. Having removed the bumper and the plastic grills you have to disconnect the three wires from the terminal block behind the header tank and the earth from near the front grill by the radiator. Then remove the three bolts from inside the bulkhead that hold the motor that is in the wheel arch. Then you remove the bolts holding the wiper mechanisms to the from of the car. You can then remove the whole assembly through the front.
Once you have achieved this:
You have to scrape the protective bitumen coating from the motor/gearbox(dirty job!). Then remove the plastic cover from the assembly that feeds the wiper mechanisms. In there you will find a rotating arm (from the gearbox) connecting to a push/pull mechanism that drives the flexible shaft through to the wipers.
Now comes the tricky bit!
You have to push back the little lips of the three housings to allow removal of the backplates. Once done you will be able to see the flexible shaft and gears that drive the wipers probably rusty and jammed.
I managed to then remove the shafts by hold one end in a vice and pulling hard.
Once out clean & regreased all assemblies before reassembling. Making sure that the gears are in the right place to operate the wipers correctly. Putting the backplates back on means that you need to recreate the little lips.
If you have a spare battery or 12v source you should check it all works before putting it back on the car it would be a good idea.
Earth to -ve
Red to postive
Motor should turn and wipers operate.
The yellow wire feeds the washer pump
The other wire provides the home position
I found it easier to extend the wires from the terminal block with the wiper assembly on the floor
Sequence is:
Head lights on
Press windscreen washers
Headlamp wipers will turn
Headlamps washers will run
Good luck!
hope it helps!
