Brake fluid reservoir removal was created by Racediagnostics
Has anyone tried removing the brake fluid reservoir from the master cylinder?

I want to do this but am worried about damaging the reservoir.

Hi Jim,

I do not know how to remove it. Just want to hint that these parts should be cleaned with spirit and never with brake cleaner liquid.

Hi Jim,
warm it up to 40 GradCelsius for at least half an hour. The breakfluid compartment is fixed in two rubber rings that give up much easier when they are warm. You can also work some oil between the compatment and the rubber rings with little movements of the compartment.

Thanks Achim,

It will be good to finally fit this new cylinder having purchased it more than ten years ago.
