Cheers
Jim

Hi Jim,

and remember to measure CO with a finger on the hole where you removed the screw. Otherwise you have false air.

Chris

Hi Jim,

you connect this presure gauge between Warm Up Regulator (WUR) and fuel distrbutor. The line on top of your fuel distributor is the one you search. open it and connect this pressure gauge with a T-piece in between existing lines together with the valve towards WUR side.

Now start on ice cold engine and remove electrical connector (heating) from WUR. Open valve on your pressure gauge and start the engine. Read value. This is cold control pressure. Now close valve and you read system pressure. Finally reconnect heating connector on WUR, open valve again and read conrol presure on warm engine again.

For your WUR you will find a diagram in our workshop manual showing the pressure value it should show with each temperature. Some WUR also have a vacuum connection and it will show in that manual how it should adjust to that.

The Problem with these cheap kits?

Adapters are fine. Pressure gauges are problematic. Their accuracy can be pretty bad. That is why I prefer a good class 1 pressure gauge 10 Bar with 80 mm diameter.

BTW Jim,

it would be great if you could change your profile settings. You now have your car model in "Personal Text". That is why it will not be counted in statistics. It would be better to have it set via profile -cars 450 SL and market Europe. You can still add UK in your personal text.

Hallo Jim,

WOW = World of Warcraft.

Well it is maybe easier if you, Rudiger, frenek and Tony discuss your issues in English. It would make my dream come true to have an international forum and Google would not misguide you in translations.

Bosch Fuel Injection book
