SLC in motorsport? was created by SLC

Hello!
I am owner of -74 SLC450 from Finland and interested of SLC motorsport history, specially rallysport ( Hannu Mikkola... etc). .
Does anybody have links, pics or any motorsport related material of this great coupe?

Theres a standard literature about the SL/SLC, where you will find every information what you are interested in:

MERCEDES 280 SL -500 SLC from Günther Engelen, Motorbuch-Verlag (unfortunately in German only, perhaps for you a good possibilty to learn it )

any other rallies or drivers?
What was the era of works car?

Hi Michael,

mir war natürlich sofort derselbe Gedanke gekommen: "SL ist auch noch frei."

But then again: Jetzt ist es doch nur noch ein lauwarmer Abklatsch von "SLC" aus Finnland. Werde Du nun wieder, der Du einst warst, Abt Hugo. Das mit dem "SL" ist es nicht, glaubs mir, lasset sein.

... übrigens kam letzen Sonntag auf HR3 eine interessante Reportage über die Anfänge der Kenia-Rallye, bei der u.a. der damalige Sportchef von Mercedes zur Sprache kam und viele Ausschnitte gezeigt wurden.

Die sind da gnadenlos über die Piste geprescht, meterweit durch die Luft geflogen oder durch tiefe Wasserläufe usw gefahren. "Damals", so alle Beteiligten war noch alles anders....
