On the back of the instrument cluster of an 83, 280SL. Believe it to be a timed delay of some sort, its part of the dimmer circuit. Benz # does not appear in the EPC and Hella # is not in there catalog. Could definitely use a wiring diagram for the 83 280SL. Any info appreciated.

...good morning to the unknown 107-forum member, normally you should introduce your post with "Hello", "good morning" or whatever and at the end were using normally "regards" or something similar and not to forget your name . Without some friendly words it will be really hard to get any information. Yourre asking for assistance and this circumstance should therefore be adressed and shown in your wording.
So, try it again...

Hans-Joachim

Hi 107merc,

there are no timers on clusters. If this part is from Hella it is a buzzer.

Any more questions post a pic.

Thanks for responding.
Any idea why a buzzer would be part of a dimmer circuit??
Thanks again
Ian.

Hi Ian, its the light warning buzzer. Goes buzzing when you forget to switch off the lights, pull the key and open the door.
