Hi,

does anyone know if the fuel injectors have its own filter inside the injector, for a M117 E56, 117.967?

I'm not sure about this .....
I think I once saw a picture on the internet from someone who took an injector apart and found a tiny little cone-shaped screen inside. Unfortunately, I can't find this picture again but here in BenzWorld somebody claims that there is a filter inside.

I'm pretty sure the KE-Jetronic fuel injectors have a little filter built inside, that cannot be removed and therefore cannot be cleaned (flushing in the opposite direction of the fuel flow is not possible either) - other than D-Jetronic.

correct there is a filtert inside. But you cannot remove it or clean it.

thanks for interesting info. I am planning to check the condition of the injectors. Is there enough pressure in a spray can to open the injector?

My system needs a proper calibration, but there is noone around here to do it. The idle is varying between 600-700, in intervals of 2 seonds. The engine also hesitates when slowly accelerating, but only in the beginning on low rpm. Could this be caused by bad injectors, or maybe bad fuel filters? Any tips are most welcome.

OK, I was thinking more of a filter in the nozzle holder than in the nozzle itself. Wouldn't have thought of disassembling it. And it isn´t possible, now i know

injectors open around 4 Bar. I do not think you can achieve that with a can. There are special injector testers for K-Jetronic. Still you cannot clean filter inside. Only dirt that might stick under needle.

But K-Jetronic injectors are not really expensive and they have wear. I would replace them. But workshops swear that it is a good idea to test even new ones before mounting.
