Compatible D-Jetronic injectors

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHello,
I would like to recondition the D-Jetronic injectors of my 1972 R107 350SL 4.5 US.
While searching on the net, I found these injectors compatible with Bosch 0 280 150 036.

• USA Beck-Arnley 1580438 at ~ $ 80 with gaskets

What are these injectors really worth compared to the original Bosch? I admit having a big doubt about the Chinese!

But you have to send your injectors to the USA, which may cost a bit.

there are several suppliers with ASNU method in Germany like asnu.de, innoteco2 or Elferwelt. Just search for ASNU and you should find also someone in your country. Two hints:

• Only get them cleaned just before you want to install them. Otherwise they can hang again after storing them too long after cleaning
• If they leak between plastic connector and metal housing, forget them. Then you need new ones. In emergency cases a so called Dr-DJet is said to still have some

I think my injectors are not leaking. The engine runs fine, but as the car has probably spent more than 10 years without moving, I think a cleaning will not be superfluous as well as the replacement of the hoses and gaskets.

The injectors have been cleaned, the seals changed and they work very well now, but the blue plastic part with the connector did not appreciate the cleaning and is falling apart!
What to do ? Is it possible to replace the blue connector or is it the end of my injectors?

Hi Jean-Charles,

there is no spare for te plastic housing and it is anyhow 1 part in the middle of your injector. Glue them and try to keep them alive.

Thank you for your prompt response.
My mechanic suggests reinforcing or replacing the connector with an EV1 model and modifying the wiring harness. The connectors of the harness are also cracked and need to be replaced.
You make me understand that this is not possible if the blue part is an integral part of the injector. If the plastic is also degraded inside the injector, I'm afraid there's not much we can do.
I'm going to recheck with him.

well all D-Jetronic and some L-Jetronic injectors are of type EV1. But also flow rate must fit, not just color.

A quick test of the FJ118 SMPs.


This test confirms what you said. It's not for nothing that the last few examples of Bosch injectors are sold for more than 400 € now...

Here is the state of my injectors after cleaning by an ASNU specialist in France : dirty and broken.
He refuses to acknowledge the facts. It's a shame.
