Captive nut assembly for differential mount was created by AlterSchinken
Hello everybody,

I am looking for one of these captive nut assemblies for my 1985 380SL. It snaps into the body crossmember for the differential mount bolts.  I cannot find the part number in any of the online parts catalogs. Does anybody here know what the part number is?

Thanks in advance,
Jim Oldham

Hi Jim,
I checked some sites in the web but couldn´t find this part. Sorry.
Maybe someone else has an idea or perhaps you can send a photo where it is mounted?
Kind regards,
Uwe

Hi Jim,

I´m not pretty sure. Could A1153510540 be the part you are looking for?
It looks different in comparison to your picture but is used for mounting the differential on a /8.
It should also fit in a R107, following the description in this link:

rear subframe wire cable bracket

Thank you very much, this looks correct based on the picture. From what car is this parts list taken from?

Hi Jim,
the picture is from a W126 Catalog, the 107 Catalog shows a very minimalistic view
