welches Öl kann ich ohne Bedenken verwenden. 
Es hat sicherlich Jemand einen Tip für mich.

Liqui Moly Hypoud - Getriebeöl GL5 SAE 85W-90, Füllmenge 1,3 Liter. 
Ausgleichgetriebe mit begrenztem Schlupf: Hypoid - Getriebeöl GL5 LS SAE 85W-90.

Hubraum ist durch nichts zu ersetzen, ausser durch noch mehr Hubraum.

Moin, gab es den 380er mit Sperrdifferential? Für die US-Version würde ich das ausschließen, bei EU? Ich geh hier mal von der EU-Version aus. Ist leider nicht korrekt im Avatar eingetragen.

Hallo Jörg,

in den Datenkarten sollte die entsprechende Sonderausstattung vermerkt sein und am Differentialdeckel ist unten rechts ein entsprechendes Blechschild mit Beschriftung angeschraubt.
Auch wenn das Schild nach 45 Jahren bestimmt nicht mehr zu lesen ist, sollte es noch nicht komplett weggerostet sein.

Am ersten Bild ist das Schild zu erkennen (ist neben der Einfüllschraube angeschraubt):  Mercedes Benz SL 560 R107 - Oldtimer Service Station

Frage an die Fachmänner wäre: Ist das Einfüllen von LS-Öl (limited slip) in ein nicht Sperrdifferential schädlich?

Frage an die Fachmänner wäre: Ist das Einfüllen von LS-Öl (limited slip) in ein nicht Sperrdifferential schädlich?
So rum nicht, ne. Im LS Öl sind Additive für die Reibbeläge enthalten. 
Ich verwende überall das Castrol Syntrax bzw. Transmax Limited Slip 75W-140 und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Wie immer ist das keine Empfehlung, da es keine Freigabe für den 107er hat sondern nur ein Erfahrungsbericht :)

Hallo Jörg,

ja die 256 ist das Ausgleichsgetriebe mit begrenztem Schlupf -> Sperrdifferential. Also Öl mit LS-Kennzeichnung für Limited Slip verwenden. Laut Bedienungsanleitung sollte ein SAE 90 ausreichend sein.

EU 380 SL, SA Code 256, Aufpreis 444,60 ,
beim 500 SL Serienausstattung.

in den Bedienungsanleitungen und in der WIS-CD steht jeweils SAE 90 und bei Sperrdifferential eben mit LS-Zusatz. Wo kommt die 140 her?

Hallo Leute
Klar ist das 90er mit LS ausreichend. Aber auch ich habe mit dem 75W 140 bessere Erfahrungen gemacht. Läuft alles viel ruhiger, einfach geschmeidig meine Erfahrung. Jeder soll das nehmen was er für richtig hält, Hauptsache wenn Sperdifferential mit LS Zusatz.
