560SL fuel pump relay wurde erstellt von stan73
Dear all,
I faced problem with KPR (fuel pump relay) of my 560SL, 1987.
The car was in our workshop more than 20 days for maintenance of front suspension and battery lost power. After supply current from another car engine didn’t start. We found out than pumps don’t make any noise. Usual suspect in this case is KPR. We have one more 560SL and changed relays. The car start without hesitation. My question: Is it possible supply from another car blow out the relay or it is just coincidence? My original KPR has number A0025451605. Local part supplier suggest substitute VEMO V30-71-0026 (with 10 pins). Does anyone has experience with VEMO KPR or have to search original second hand KPR?
Best Regards,
Stan

Hi Stan,
I recommend that you repair your existing FPR. That makes much more sense than relying on a 3rd party VEMO relais. These FPR have problems with cracked soldering points where relais and connectors are soldered to PCB.

Thanks Volker,
as usual you save my day,
the problem solved with resoldering and cleaning of small relays inside the FPR.
VEMO replacement don’t fit any way,
It has 6+4 pins instead 6+3 as original one, also has bigger dimensions and you don’t put it in the socket.
Best Regards,
Stan
