Thanks Rudiger, looks like they are in stock at a couple of these suppliers, out of stock at most. There seems to be plenty also in the USA but with very high shipping costs.

It is a job I plan to do some time in the future.

Jim yes it is expensive to thip from the US to the UK. Not outrage expensive. If you need a US address feel free to use my address.

I found one (the last one in stock) at a small USA parts supplier. There are lots of web sites like the one above that say they have stock but don't.

For information, oldtimerparts.de offers re-manufacture of rare parts, such as the timing chain slide A1160502716 for M116 and M117 engines which is no longer available anywhere.
I had searched all over Europe and the USA in early 2020 and finally found it in Moscow but today, even there, it is no longer available.

This part cost 8 € at MB and 4 € at Febi in 2018.

Danke für die Antwort, aber die Frage war von 2021. Ich glaube mittlerweile hat er eine bekommen...

HaHa. Hoffe ich auch.
Jedoch ist es immer noch ziemlich schwierig diese u. andere Teile des Kettentriebs zu bekommen. Habe selbst ca 2 J fuer ein paar so aehnliche Teile gesucht.

Konnte diese Teil (s.O.) selbst jetzt fuer einen angemessenen Preis erwerben, da ich hier in Canada oder in den USA auch nicht mehr fuendig wurde.

Dachte das der Link dahher auch noch anderen (so wie mir) helfen kann, zudem das Teil um einiges guenstiger als bei den "bekannten" Shops ist.
23.80 ist um einiges guenstiger als 79,90 .  Beim SL Shop liegt das Teil (als Repro) momentan bei 16.05 Euro (ex VAT) parts.theslshop.com/mercedes-benz-lower-...0502716-a1160502716/
 

Bei ebay vor ein paar Wochen für 16,87 bzw. die andere Seite für 12,67 gekauft. Gut ist nicht original (febi), aber wird wahrscheinlich mit mir beerdigt.
