Motor ölt 280slc 1979 was created by Jowokue
Der Motor ölt bei meinem neu erworbenen 280slc. Schrauben an der Motorölwanne hab ich noch mal nachgezogen. Aber trotzdem am nächsten Morgen kleine Pfütze unterm Motor und an der Getriebeglocke sah es heute aus wie auf dem Foto.
befürchte das wird was grösseres oder was meint ihr ist die Ursache?

Hallo Wolfgang.

Sowas hatte ich in der Winterzeit.
Ab Fruehling is es von selbst verschwunden.
Kannst vielleicht etwas mehr fahren, Gang wechseln und schauen was passiert. Gut das du darauf (inkl. Ölstand Getriebe und Motor) Aufmerksam bist.

Oft ist es nicht ganz einfach direkt festzustellen, woher das Öl kommt. Der Wind vom Gebläse treibt ja ev. Öl nach hinten.

Hallo Wolfgang, gib in die Suche hier oder bei Google „Borgmannring“ ein. Da wirst du fündig. Der wird wahrscheinlich dein Problem verursachen. Pers. Hinweis kann ich in Bezug auf Motoröl nicht nachvollziehen, nur wenn es Getriebeöl wäre. Das ist es aber nicht. 
Ich weiß leider nicht, ob es beim 280er mal eine Änderung von Borgmanring auf KW-Simmering gegeben hat. 78 gab’s wohl noch den Borgmannring. Das ist jedenfalls aufwendig.

...das Ding heißt Burgmannring, und hoffentlich liegt es nicht daran, denn das bedeutet Motor ausbauen und Kurbelwelle raus !

Der Burgmannring leidet Z.B. unter unpassendem Öl, wenn das über Jahre eingefüllt wurde. Zumindest auf dem letzten Bild könnte es aber Öl aus der Servopumpe sein - wenn dort rotes ATF eingefüllt wurde. Checke die Pumpe und deren Umgebung mal. Vielleicht ist der niederdruck Schlauch durch. Ansonsten alles akribisch putzen und kontrollieren.

und was für ein Öl hast du eingefüllt ?
Wieviel tropft da denn raus wenn er steht ?
Was mich wundert ist das das Öl nicht in der Mitte raustropft ? Vergleiche das Öl mal mit deinem Servopumpenöl .
Ist das Ölfiltergehäuse dicht ?

Wenn Du oben am Motor rundum sorgfältig sauberst, wirst du sehen ob da Öl rauskommt und wie viel. Diese Motoren sind da nicht selten etwas undicht.

Hallo Wolfgang, 
ich kann bestätigen, dass der Burgmannring sehr auf die richtige Ölviskosität angewiesen ist, wenn er dicht sein soll. 
Wenn man es gut meint, und 10W40 oder gar 5W40 einfüllt, fängt er an zu suppen. Am besten 15W40 verwenden, damit hat es bei mir auch aufgehört an meinem M110.

Das mit dem 15W40 hat mir auch Marc Großjung empfohlen. (107SL-service, Hilden).
Seitdem ich obenrum alles dicht gemacht habe ist es fast vollständig trocken.
Aber Oldtimer die vollkommen trocken sind gibts glaube ich nicht.

Hallo, Wolfgang gib dem Öl mal LECWEC hinzu ewentl. ist es dann weg , hab so was ähnliches vor etlichen Jahren bei meinem 280e zugegeben und hat geholfen noch Jahre bis zum Rost Tod , dauert aber so ca 1,5 tsd km bis es wirkt etwas feucht sind die 280er Motoren oft solange die nicht auf den Boden rumtropfen geht es .

Tropft aber leider ziemlich viel.
Werde jetzt mal anderes Öl plus lecwec einfüllen lassen und beten dass es dann besser wird.

...warum sollte ein 15W/40 weniger Ölverlust verursachen als ein 10W/40 ? Ein 40er Öl bleibt ein 40er Öl und wenn kalt ein 10er Öl mehr verloren wird als ein 15er, ist der Abdichtring und die Kurbelwelle Schrott !

Lecwec wird bei einem Burgmannring wohl auch nicht helfen

Hallo , Christian das mit der Kurbelwelle Schrott verstehe ich nicht , Abdichtring Ok aber deswegen muss doch die Kurbelwelle nicht Schrott sein .

Ventildeckeldichtug mit Gummis, Nockenwellendeckel vorne und hinten. Alles mit Silikon dichtmasse.
