Hi folks,

when I use left turn signal, the high beam lamp lits. And also the other way around; when using the high beams, left turn signal lamp lits.
Assume this might be an earthing error. Or can it be related to the sleewing ring in the steering wheel? Any ideas are most welcome.

Hi Erik,

I would rather believe that pin 6 and 11 have been swapped. Did you open the round 15 pin connector? 6 should be bk/wt and 11 should be wt/bl .

Hi Doctor,
no, I have not opened the connector. A mechanic told me the sleewing ring contacts was not in place. He fixed it, and some other lamp issues in the cluster disappeared. But this error still remains.

Hi Erik,

maybe a problem with the control switch? Did any body work on the electric or the wiring on the driver side?
Maybe some of the cables between control switch and instrument cluster or relais are bare and shorted?

Grüße aus Hockenheim,
Uwe

Hi Uwe,
no body work, but maybe some wires are shortened somewhere. Guess I have to follow the wires. Thanks.
