The part number is common across most of the V8 engines, 1160380250 but surprisingly I cant find any supplier.
Does anyone know where they can be purchased?

Hi Jim,
according to EPC, the part was replaced by A 119 038 02 50, available for around 25 € from your friendly Mercedes dealer.
Regards, Lutz

Does anyone know if part number A1160380550 is also compatible, the Kobleschmidt versions of these can be found relatively easily, their part number is 77208690.
The Glyco catalog says that their part number 55-3525 is the correct part for the 450 but the box for the KS part says it is for the 420?
All a bit confusing.

The bottom line of the Glyco table shows the same number for the 450.

OK, I think I can answer me own question, I think the part is not compatible with the 450, additionally there is an error in the Glyco catalogue.
The 450 workshop manual says the pin I/D is 26mm and O/D is 29mm.

However the picture above from the Glyco manual ( the line with "SE/PB") says it is 23/26mm and is clearly wrong.
